Research has the greatest practical value when it is discussed and debated by informed executives who ‘live and breathe’ new technology and are enthusiastic about its implications for the world of work. We therefore make sure that that VINT thinking is accessible not only through books, business white papers and electronic media, but also on a more human level … face-to-face meetings and topic-driven symposia.
Our VINT experts have been described as ‘story tellers’ – bringing concepts to life through personal anecdote and real-life examples. In this way we breathe a greater understanding and context into the facts and statistics that dominate other research organizations. This helps our audiences recognize the potential application of technology and opens up the debates that characterize our events. This in turn helps us to learn from the questions and concerns of the participants. Truly two-way communication.
VINT’s Annual International Executive Summit
We hold events on a wide variety of technology topics throughout the year in the US, Netherlands, France and Sweden, for example our Symposium in the Netherlands ‘Leading the Big Change’ held in June 2008, looking at aspects of IT-led change.
Also each year, we bring together the best in contemporary thinking at an International Executive Summit hosted by VINT. This unique event is an eclectic mix of though-provoking visionary thinkers from around the world, and provides a stimulating environment for inspirational discussion among fellow technology leaders. This event is by invitation only.
The Future of Work - Madrid
How technology changes the way we work, co-operate and organize in a global economy
Our most recent event explored the development of the so-called ‘leaderless’ organization in which employees decide what to do and when, and where the executive is elected by the entire workforce. To date, few organizations operate in this way, but leading management thinkers predict that this is about to change. The 2 day Executive Summit 2008 looked at:
- How will work be organized, based on the latest technological innovations?
- What will be the future of corporate strategy?
- How will work be distributed across the world?
New tools, new ideas, a new generation, new leadership …..
