The generally acclaimed Gartner Business Intelligence and Performance Management Maturity Model together with Sogeti’s best practices are the basis for the BI Next Assessment. Gartner used their extensive research in all sectors to create a model that clearly describes the various levels of awareness and maturity of Business Intelligence within organizations. These five levels range from Unaware and Tactical, Focused to Strategic, and finally Pervasive.
Combining the Gartner Model and the extensive knowledge and experience of the Sogeti BI consultants, a BI Next Assessment aims to provide a clear picture of the Business Intelligence situation within a company or governmental organization. Work Approach
The Assessment is executed using a well-documented methodology with accelerators and industry specific templates to map the architecture, processes and roadmap to align with business drivers and goals and maximize the return on investment. A typical assessment will take about 4 to 8 weeks, although this will vary according to each situation. After an introduction by a Sogeti consultant, questionnaires that have been prepared will be completed by the different stakeholders. Once analysis of the current environment and future business needs, discussions will be conducted with the customer to reconcile and consolidate information from different sources and align the feedback from the various stakeholders.
All the gathered information will be processed by Sogeti experts using industry best practices and trends, a report outlining the findings and recommendations will be prepared for the customer. These findings and the BI Next report, containing a full action plan, are then presented to the customer.
Delivery of this methodology is tailored to suit you as customer. Our flexibility is your strength. Contracts for this approach can be made in Fixed Price Mode, Managed Times & Means, or Times & Means. All of these approaches are dependent on the quantity of information to be assessed, number of interviews, (or scope of the task at hand), and the time line given for the Assessment.
