Sogeti France assists ONERA with the Management of its information Infrastructure

Paris, September 7 2016 - Sogeti France, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Capgemini Group, is managing an infrastructure outsourcing contract with ONERA[1], the leading aeronautics and space research organisation in France, and assisting in the modernisation and security of its information systems. The four-year project, with the possibility of extending it for one year, is worth close to 10 million euros.

ONERA meets the challenges of innovation, quality, competitiveness and security in the aerospace industry, bringing its expertise to agencies, governments and industry, from large corporates to small and medium-sized businesses. Its scientific strategic plan for the period 2015-2025 places particular emphasis on the quality and high performance of its computing platforms in order to adapt to the profound changes in the world of research and the increasingly digital and global aerospace industry. The state-of-the art research conducted by ONERA requires robust and very high quality information systems.

Assisting ONERA for over 15 years on some of its sites, Sogeti now manages all the infrastructure outsourcing for [2] its eight national sites, offering a high-level service adapted to ONERA's business, geographical and technical challenges. This organisation is focused on the synergy and sharing of knowledge within the ISD[3].

Sogeti is in charge of all the infrastructure technologies of the 4,500 work stations, 230 servers and computing stations, as well as scientific and technical applications. The contract also covers infrastructure transformation: user services, operational maintenance, supervision, operation and integration of new services. Choosing just one company to manage its infrastructure outsourcing ensures ONERA greater control of its information systems which is part of a drive to
improve its security levels.
