New mobile solution helps Clas Ohlson's customers to find the right product

Sogeti helped Swedish hardware store chain Clas Ohlson to provide its clients a better shopping experience by developing a Xamarin mobile app solution for iOS, Android och Windows Phone.

Background

Clas Ohlson wants to improve the customer experience in their stores using a mobile solution to make it easier for customers to get product information, see number of items in stock, find out which shelf to find items on, and allow customers to make shopping lists.

Solution

Clas Ohlson, together with consultants from Sogeti, built netive apps for iOS, Android and Windows Phone. The apps were developes in Xamarin. A back end solution for product searches was developed using Microsoft Azure as a platform

Benefits

With Xamarin Clas Ohlson gets a common code base, developed in C# for all mobile platforms. With Microsoft Azure as a platform for back end solutions Clas Ohlson gets a platform that is easily scalable to the number of users.
