DEFI H, University and Major Schools innovation contest : Sogeti and Le Monde Informatique call the trophies of the 5th edition
Paris, May 27, 2016 - Sogeti France, a 100% subsidiary of the Capgemini Group, creator of DEFI H, in partnership with Le Monde Informatique, awarded yesterday the price of the 4 best projects of creation of innovative applications to enhance the professional integration of people with disabilities. Sebastien Chabal, top athlete already engaged in public health activities, is the sponsor of the 5th edition of the DEFI H 2016.
The 5th edition of the DEFI H HAS distinguished 4 innovative applications within eight computer engineering schools spread over six regions (Ile-de-France, Rhône-Alpes, East Grand, Aquitaine, Midi-Pyrénées and Hauts-de-France ). These solutions, to promote the training, employability and improve working conditions for people with disabilities, are developed by French students of schools and universities computer courses during the five-month-long competition.
4 winning innovations
Each team consists of four students from the same school, an association, a coach Sogeti France and a partner associations of DEFI H: Mission Handicap Sogeti, Adapt, Springboard, EXECO, the Garches and Talenteo Foundation.
The jury of the DEFI H awarded 4 winning teams:
1 / DEFI H 2016 Price awarded to the team T-Jack with POLYTECH Grenoble, in partnership with the Association ARDDS38:
T-Jack is an adapter for the hearing impaired or deaf-equipped hearing aids. Compatible with objects that have a classic jack (smartphones, tablets, TVs, radios ...), it uses a magnetic loop, to allow users to receive quality sound discreetly and efficiently.
2/ Technological Innovation Price awarded to the team T-Jack with POLYTECH Grenoble, in partnership with the Association ARDDS38.
3/ "Young Shoot" Price won by the team SignBand with EXIA CESI Bordeaux, in partnership with the Association Learning Centre of the French Sign Language Bordeaux:
SignBand is a sign language translation tool other oral languages. It is designed to be easily transportable.
4 / Audience Award for the team Dicodys with ECE Paris, in partnership with the Association Dyslab:
Dicodys is a phonetic spelling dictionary in alphabetical and non alphabetical approach designed for dyslexic disorders.
"The DEFI H challenge is very important for Sogeti, whose vocation is to put technology at the service of its customers. This vocation is put at the service of a noble cause: the integration of the disabled. This edition has enabled us to support talented young people motivated around innovative projects and the result is impressive. I am convinced that many of the projects will be transformed into entrepreneurial projects, quite in the spirit of Sogeti and Capgemini " says Christophe Bonnard, CEO of Sogeti France.
Sebastien Chabal, former International XV of France, said: "The DEFI H highlights a dimension of social and technological innovation. He is a real team cohesion which involves a variety of actors. These innovations, sources transformation can participate in creating new development models in the same temporary disability situations to which each may face. "
