Dr. Matthias Hamburg, Managing Consultant at SOGETI Deutschland, has been elected as vice president of the German Testing Board (GTB). Management positions at GTB are elected for two-year terms.

Ratingen, June 14, 2017 - German Testing Board (GTB) is an independent, neutral committee that maintains and develops the ISTQB® Certified Tester qualification scheme for Germany. Board members are software testing experts from academia, from commercial training companies and from companies that apply the qualification.

Dr. Matthias Hamburg has been volunteering at GTB since 2008, and he is actively involved in various working groups. His focus is on the Glossary of Testing Terms, for which he is responsible both at GTB and at ISTQB. He got also involved in the current curricula for security test specialists and for mobile application testers. By electing him to a vice president, GTB has acknowledged his long-standing untiring contributions and his experience in the association.

"My voluntary involvement in GTB has always been motivated by my wish to professionalize the training of software testers. My main goal in my new management position is to promote GTB's contributions to the maintenance and development of the qualification scheme. I would like to thank Sogeti Germany for the continuous support of my engagement at GTB" said Matthias Hamburg in the run-up to his candidacy.
