Sogeti is one of the first IT companies in Germany to receive the coveted accreditation, from the German Testing Board, for the ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level Security Tester.

  • Sogeti is one of the first IT companies in Germany to receive the coveted accreditation, from the German Testing Board, for the ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level Security Tester.
  • The ISTQB® offers globally uniform and recognized certifications for all areas of software testing.

Ratingen, March 16, 2020 – Sogeti Deutschland GmbH (www.sogeti.de) is now one of the first officially accredited providers of ISTQB® CTAL Security Tester training courses. The accreditation, awarded by the German Testing Board (GTB), will initially run until February 2022 and complements Sogeti Deutschland's existing and extensive ISTQB® training portfolio, which is specifically tailored for IT specialists: security testers who plan and carry out corresponding projects as well as for test managers who must demonstrate knowledge in the field of security testing.

"More frequent reports of widespread ransomware attacks demonstrate that IT security is becoming increasingly important for companies across all industries and IT specialists must be trained accordingly," said Dirk Kain, Head of Sogeti in Germany. "It was important for us to set up this training with the GTB in order to cover urgently needed skills such as early detection of vulnerabilities during development, creation of tests to predict attack patterns, and analysis and evaluation of detected errors from a security perspective."

The ISTQB® CTAL Security Tester course was developed by Sogeti's own team of trainers in close collaboration with the Sogeti Security Testing Department and submitted to the German Testing Board.

"The German Testing Board congratulates Sogeti in Germany on the successful accreditation. Sogeti is one of the first providers to introduce the ISTQB® CTAL Security Tester seminar to the German market," says Dr. Armin Metzger, Managing Director at the German Testing Board e.V. "The training is specifically aimed at testers and test managers who have made it their business to increase not only the quality but also the security of software."

Sogeti has been running this certification course in Germany since October 2019. It is run exclusively by trained personnel and involves a high level of interaction, visualization and practical exercises.
