Joseph Pine is internationally recognized as one of the most original thinkers on how economic value evolves when societies move beyond goods and services toward experiences, transformation, and personal change. As author, advisor, and keynote speaker, he has influenced how business leaders understand the next stages of economic development and the shifting expectations of customers, citizens, and employees.
 
Joseph Pine became globally known through his seminal work The Experience Economy, in which he argued – well before it became mainstream – that organizations would increasingly compete not only by delivering products or services, but by staging memorable experiences that create differentiation and loyalty. Louisa Munch, Teacher Critical theory at Warwick University
Bubbles are stories and ideologies we cling to. Critical thinking is often nowhere to be found. Louisa Munch investigates the power structures behind these ideologies and offers sharp critiques of what we call “modernity”. She is a 26‑year‑old TikTok phenomenon (with 67,000 followers) who recently completed her PhD on the theme of Nostalgia. She teaches critical theory at the University of Warwick.
Inspired by Walter Benjamin’s concept of “Now Time,” she explores whether the bursting of a bubble can lead to a clear moment of critical reflection and set a systemic transition in motion. This crash course in critical thinking may help spark that shift.

Digital Happiness in the Age of AI
Professor Rafael Calvo is the Chair in Engineering Design at the Dyson School of Design Engineering, Imperial College London. He is an internationally recognized expert and pioneer in the fields of Affective Computing and “Positive Computing”—an innovative approach to technology design that actively supports psychological well-being, motivation, and human potential.
With over 250 scientific publications and three books, including the critically acclaimed Positive Computing (MIT Press) and The Oxford Handbook of Affective Computing, Professor Calvo’s work bridges the gap between behavioral psychology and cutting-edge artificial intelligence. His research focuses on building human-centric systems, language models, and digital interventions that enhance mental health and well-being across global populations.
Beyond his academic achievements, Professor Calvo acts as an advisor to major global enterprises (such as Google and Honda) and innovative healthcare startups, helping them integrate self-determination theory and ethical design practices into their technology ecosystems. At this year’s Executive Summit, he will explore how we can intentionally design for ‘Digital Happiness’ to ensure that the AI-driven future elevates, rather than diminishes, human well-being.

Marion Leslie joined SIX Group in January 2020 as Head Financial Information and a member of
the SIX Executive Board. Marion is the representative on the Executive Board for Sustainability
and is also a member of the BME Board of Directors. As Head Financial Information, Marion
leads the SIX global data business, serving financial institutions worldwide with critical data and
insights to support their clients.
Leading global businesses and operations at scale, with a strong emphasis on data and
technology, are the hallmarks of her career in financial services. Prior to joining SIX, Marion was
Managing Director, Enterprise at Refinitiv (London Stock Exchange) with responsibility for
delivering market data, platforms and services to the global financial markets.
Marion has been consistently recognized as a leading figure in finance, named one of the 100
Most Influential Women in European Finance by Financial News for six consecutive years (2020–
2025), listed among Swiss Finance’s Women to Watch in 2022, and featured in the World

Rachel Tausendfreund has been a senior research fellow at DGAP since September 2024. Before joining DGAP, Tausendfreund was a senior fellow with the geostrategy team of the German Marshall Fund of the United States, where she co-led a project on “pivotal powers”. From 2015 to 2022 she was also GMF’s editorial director, overseeing the organization’s research output and publication planning.
Tausendfreund researches and writes on US domestic politics and foreign policy; German foreign policy and transatlantic relations; and global order. She is currently running an international project at the DGAP on middle powers and the future of global order. She is a regular commentator in German, US, and European media, including in outlets such as NBC News, Bloomberg, NPR, Der Spiegel, Tagesspiegel, and Deutsche Welle.
