Sogeti Sverige AB has been chosen by the Swedish Social Insurance Agency as a long-term provider. The agreement stretches over the next five years with an option for an additional one, plus one, year.

160226, Stockholm/Sundsvall/Luleå, Sweden – The Swedish Social Insurance Agency has made a strategic alignment decision, moving from limited, short-term relations with a large number of suppliers, to building long-term relations with fewer suppliers. Following a procurement process, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency has signed agreements with three long-term providers, one being Sogeti Sverige AB (Sogeti), for delivering services with the support of Capgemini1.

Being a supplier to the Swedish Social Insurance Agency for many years we are proud of this extended trust. As a long-term partner we can keep building our deep understanding of their operations, help them to increase efficiency further, and support them vigorously through our extensive innovation and competence assets,” commented CEO of Sogeti Sverige AB, Stefan Ek.

Long-term strategy
Through this new contract, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency aims to, over time, build knowledge around its ways of working and technologies, creating value in the form of more efficient IT development and a shorter time-to-market based on needs and delivery. In addition to its delivery capacity, the long-term providers and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency will collaborate around ways of working, innovation, competence development, competence transfer, and more.

An extensive assignment
The contract, signed by a total of three chosen suppliers, includes resource services, assignment services and application services within three distinct delivery areas. Sogeti has been chosen as supplier within area ‘B’ where the goal is helping achieve a high level of digitalization within information management, increased automation for insurance and benefits, technology consolidation, improvement regarding models for external collaboration, Business Information systems, purchased services and products.

In addition to delivery areas A, B and C, deliveries can also be made within one supplier-common delivery area to meet demands for services primarily driven from the IT applications methodology office, project office, test and architecture areas, as well as IT production.

The Swedish Social Insurance Agency estimates the need for services to be in the region of 75 MSEK (8 M€) per year and per delivery area (A, B, C and the supplier-common delivery area). The total volume for all delivery areas will reach around 300 MSEK (32,1 M€) per year.

The agreement is valid until the 31 January 2021.

This collaboration gives us opportunities to grow at our respective locations. We look forward to a closer and deeper collaboration with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and we estimate that this agreement is likely to create around 30 new jobs in Sundsvall and Luleå”, commented Thomas Bodén and Johan Erixon, managing the Sogeti operations in the two cities.
