Analytics enables new strategic revenue stream

Sogeti develops Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing solution for Apollo Education Group

Background

The client needed an End to End Analytics Platform as a part of new strategic revenue stream that contributes to company’s top and bottom line. The solution needed to integrate industry solutions for higher education including Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, Salesforce.com and Social media sites. Analytics will work as a key differentiator in the market for the client.

Solution

Sogeti first became engaged through a discovery phase to analyze and prioritize the integration areas and the solution architecture for the first release. Sogeti is responsible for delivering a platform that is able to host multiple tenants and eventually produce over 100 reports (canned & Ad Hoc).

Release 1 will encompass the design, build and testing of the entire business intelligence solution for the first client. The challenge was to build a cost effective solution using open source technologies to allow Apollo to be profitable on a per client basis.

Sogeti leveraged consultants from across the US and India. This deal has a potential of 3 years of on-going phases to complete and support this solution.

Benefits

Sogeti was given a Greenfield opportunity and partnered with Apollo to deliver a BI platform with a defined scope and an aggressive time line. With out the help of a partner, Apollo would not have been able to staff this Project and deliver a solution.

Sogeti leveraged a cost effective model by using our Rightshore® capabilities to show our expertise in BI, ETL, Testing, Cloud, and Infrastructure. Sogeti also called upon partnerships with vendors such as Talend, Oracle and MicroStrategy where needed to drive value and deliver
