Sogeti France supports MAIF in its testing strategy

Paris, February 27, 2017 - Sogeti France, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Capgemini group, has won a contract to set up a test centre for the French insurance group MAIF. This engagement is in line with MAIF’s 2018 plan, which includes increasing the satisfaction of its members and boosting its digital strategy. Improved testing of applications for its members should help MAIF achieve its aim of retaining its leading status in insurance customer relations and responding to new offers. The three-year contract is worth around six million euros.

MAIF is developing its test centre with Sogeti and setting up synergies between its project development teams and contractor teams. The contractor teams (acci-dents, contracts, shops, and the internet) are also involved in the strategy of cen-tralising processes, ensuring quality of mass-produced applications, identifying op-portunities for outsourcing to service centres, and optimising costs.

With more than 3 million members (including Associations and Communities) and an increase of more than 60,000 insured members in 2015, MAIF is seeking to continue its digital transformation in 2016 and to maintain its leading position in customer relations in the sector, which is based on meeting members' expectations and anticipating their needs.

MAIF's testing activities focus on the quality of the software production chain. The test centre set up by MAIF in 2015 handles different testing activities (systems, functional processes, integration, performance, testing in the agile cycle, methodological support and test tools). The solution that Sogeti provides pools resources and mass-produces the tests so that MAIF professionals can refocus on their core business activities.

Michaël Bergeot, Head of Solutions Testing and Compliance at MAIF, said: 'The insurance profession is being rapidly transformed by digital technology, the sharing economy and new offers being launched more and more frequently. In accordance with MAIF transformation plan, Sogeti is supporting us by both advising us on testing and conducting the tests. Their approach is based on indicators and undertakings with continuous improvement of results. Test automation is assessed on a case-by-case basis according to return on investment, whatever the test level.'
